An early evening of rocking blues and hillbilly in Soho with our very special guest
Grant Dermody (USA)!
Foundation and Jamming Blues Guitar Workshop.
Rather than concentrate on specific songs, this workshop will look at playing together using different guitar parts.
This workshop is suitable for a range of abilities including beginners, whilst still providing challenges for the more experienced player. Most of us want to improve on at least one part of our playing, so I'll be working to have something for all levels of player. These workshops are very useful for jamming and with Blues Week fast approaching, its the perfect time to work up your techniques!
Examples;
-Keeping the thumb moving with good rhythm
-monotonic bass
-thumb rolls
-alternate bass
-open tunings
-understanding different key positions
-using a capo
-playing rhythm and lead at the same time
-what to do when playing with others
10am-4pm with lunch and tea breaks. Cost is £65 including lunch, snacks and refreshments.
